No news IS good news...

I don't have any news to report except that Ty did receive the Trach and the G-tube (gastrointestinal tube for feeding) today. She has been resting and recovering. I haven't seen her and I don't have anything to add except she is doing well and is resting tonite. I know so many of you will check this before bed or first thing in the morning so I just wanted to post this little update.

Also, I have been reading through all of the comments left by so many of you and also some of my personal e-mails. I am continually amazed at the faith of so many and the words of encouragement that are being sent our way. I know of people personally in Chile, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Thailand, and Hong Kong who are praying for Ty's full recovery and for our family. I think we have people from all 50 states! Talk about a true miracle! (I wish my business would get this kind of response when I send an e-mail :) Anyway, It is just amazing to me. I appreciate all of your support. We will update when we have some word from the doctors tomorrow on the MRI and EEG. Have a great night. Thank you!

Laughter is the BEST medicine...let's get her laughing again! (This is one that Joel will like!)

God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel,
found him, resting on the seventh day.

He inquired of God. "Where have you been?"

God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction, and proudly pointed
downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."
Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put Life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused."
God explained, pointing to different parts of earth. "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor. Over there I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance
in all things," God continued pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."
The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and said, "What's that one?"
"Ah," said God "That's Washington State, the most glorious place on earth.
There are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests,
hills, plains, and coulees. The people from Washington State are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking,
high achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as
diplomats, and carriers of peace."
Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be balance."
God smiled, "There is another Washington...Wait til you see the
idiots I put there.

Hi Johnson Family

We wanted to let you know that we are praying for Tyree and each of you. We appreciate you setting up this blog so we can stay in tune with her progress. We know this is a very difficult time for all of you, but also a great time to unite as family and friends in Tyree's behalf. As you have all felt, the Lord is with you and is blessing each of you every day. We know that He is looking after Tyree and will pull her through this. Thank goodness for our faith during difficult times like this. Again, our prayers and thoughts are with you. We sure love you guys!

Hey Ty,
Ed and I have been checking the blog constantly since we found out. We were on the road at the time so I couldn't leave you a little message. I just wanted you to know that we have been thinking of you and I had you and your family added to my church's prayer chain. Can't wait to see you at the reunion. And I know you are going to be fully healed soon.

Tyree,

We were devistated when we heard of what was happening to you, but we never felt any doubt that you would give up easily. You are a strong spiritual person. We know you will be back with us and your family just as spunky as you were before this all happened. You have been a tremendous influence in my families life, especially our daughter's Jessica. You were a incredible Young Womans leader for her. We love you very much and you and your family are in our prayers daily. We are thankful for this blog so that we can keep updated on your progress. We are thankful that you have so many family members and friends around you that are supporting and encouraging you to get better. Don't give up.
